The Government response:
Under pressure from the people, City of Denton politicians appear to have decided not to leave people to freeze to death on the streets this time. They have declared that their warming center at MLK, Jr. Rec Center will be open 24 hours a day until the end of the weather event. The full text of the statement is available here.
The People's response:
A coalition of various organizations and individuals has banded together to provide supplies, food, and logistical support to Dentonites in need. They can be reached at (940) 584-1651 throughout the unfolding Winter weather event.
